Coffee & Conversation @ Saint James Dexter

Transportation is the biggest source of carbon emissions in the US. What effect do greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles and other sources have on the planet’s climate? What effect will the Trump administration’s rollback of auto mileage standards have on emissions? How can private citizens change behaviors and advocate for policies that help reduce emissions?

Our speakers are nationally known experts in their fields. Jeff Alson is an environmental engineer who spent 40 years with the Environmental Protection Agency. He is an expert on auto emissions and fuel efficiency. Steve Kolk is one of the nation’s foremost actuarial experts on climate change and has been invited to speak around the world. He has coauthored multiple climate change impact papers for the US government.
