Stewardship

Members of Saint James are generous with their time, their talents, and their treasures. We strive to be good stewards of God’s people and creation by building a compassionate community that welcomes all, by supporting efforts to relieve suffering, and by sharing with everyone God’s promise of future filled with hope and peace. We welcome your gifts.

Outreach

Saint James members and friends form an extended community of passionate, engaged people eager to love and serve those around them. We partner with a variety of local organizations to care for and support people in the Dexter community and beyond. Here are some recent initiatives:

Faith in Action

Through Faith in Action (FIA), we provide pantry staples to under-resourced people in the Dexter area. Parishioners bring in items for the FIA food pantry on any Sunday and place them in donation bins in the sanctuary. On a monthly basis we donate between 25 and 50 items, ranging from personal hygiene, paper products, and all sorts of nonperishable food.

In August, we help Faith in Action to outfit local students with a new backpacks stuffed with school supplies, along with a $25 check for new school clothes.
